Company: APAC multi manager Hedge Fund With a focus on the APAC Public Equities, our team specializes in Long/Short Equities and opportunistically in Merger Arbitrage/Special Situations, operating within a global Investment Committee framework. As we seek to expand our Japan equities investing, we are inviting applications for an Investment Professional to join our team based in Hong Kong. Our equity strategies revolve around identifying investments presenting favorable risk/reward profiles, encompassing long ideas, short ideas, and relative value/arbitrage opportunities. These strategies are executed through both Fundamental Equities and Merger Arbitrage investment approaches. Fundamental Equities: • Our opportunistic investment approach combines research-driven fundamental views with process-oriented expertise in corporate actions and events. • Focus is on bottom-up, idiosyncratic situations, particularly those with defined catalysts, events, or elements of corporate change and complexity. Merger Arbitrage: • Investments center around companies subject to acquisition attempts, exchange offers, cash tender offers, reorganizations, or restructurings. Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed analysis of company reports and build complex financial models to support investment recommendations. • Evaluate company business models and assess economic conditions influencing covered companies. • Conduct management meetings and conferences with Japanese companies in Japanese.

必要なスキル・経験
Background: • Previous experience in 1) buy side experience, 2) private equity and buy side, 3) private equity, 4) investment banking • Strong academic background with experience in top-tier firms. • Native Japanese and fluency English is essential. • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail and critical thinking ability. • Proficient in constructing financial/valuation models. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. • Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
